check out this legislative info site: "PDF" versions
of bill text. You'll need Adobe
Acrobat Reader (it's free) to view the PDF files, which are
exact replicas of the printed versions of bills (complete with
the correct page and line numbers).
The Legislative Analyst's
Office: View or download LAO reports and analyses and
regular updates on the state's fiscal condition.
Senate Office of Research:
Includes PICO, the Policy Information Clearinghouse Online, lots
of links to other public policy sites, and other features.
The White House:
Follow the federal budget and other political events.
Thomas: Federal
legislation on-line. Provides access to Congress, including email
addresses for your local representatives and text of federal
legislation.
Citizens for Tax Justice:
Tax the rich, tax corporations, tax the rich, tax corporations,
higher taxes, more progressive taxation... It's a little tiresome.
