
Students in the Manhattan Beach Unified School District (Los Angeles County) are being held hostage by the district's teachers union in a labor dispute. Here are the punishments teachers are meting out to students:
The union wants a 9 percent salary increase. The district says the district's finances will not support such largesse. The district also forecasts that the district will lose $2.8 million if Proposition 30 does not pass in November.
