More Than $77 Million in Taxes to Be Decided in Local Elections
More than $77.4 million in tax increases have been proposed in local measures that will be on the ballot later this month and on November 5.
To date, local governments have placed 11 measures on the ballot for later this year, with the bulk of them on the November ballot.
If all of the measures are approved, the cost to taxpayers will be approximately $77,406,350 in the first year alone, according to a CalTax review of published estimates of the fiscal effects of the measures.
