Cal-Tax Staff:
FTB Honors Dave Doerr for 50 Years of Service to California

Cal-Tax Chief Tax Consultant David R. Doerr was honored October 6 by Franchise Tax Board Executive Officer Selvi Stanislaus for his 50 years of service as a policy analyst in California.

Ms. Stanislaus surprised Mr. Doerr with a plaque during a meeting at the FTB headquarters in Sacramento. The plaque reads: "The Franchise Tax Board recognizes Dave R. Doerr for fifty years of tireless service in representing the interests of three generations of California taxpayers. Dave has significantly contributed to the crafting of effective tax policy through his early years in the California Assembly, his twenty-four year tenure as chief consultant to the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee, and twenty-two additional years as the California Taxpayers' Association chief tax consultant. Thank you for your considerable contributions and commitment to the State of California and the concerns of its citizens."

Mr. Doerr joined the Assembly as an intern in September 1959, became chief consultant of the Assembly Government Organization Committee in 1960, and was named chief consultant of the Assembly Revenue and Taxation Committee in 1963. He joined Cal-Tax in 1987.

The Cal-Tax Board of Directors recently held a special presentation to thank Mr. Doerr for his service to the taxpayers of California.
